Grand Teton Backpacking Experience

Northern Tetons: Scenery Abounds
Trip length: 2 days to 5 days- endless options
Rating: moderate
Rated moderate, this trip explores the Jedediah Smith Wilderness adjacent to Grand Teton National Park. After setting up camp near the shores of Green Lake, you will have time to explore the northern Teton Crest trail; day two will be spent day hiking into the northern Tetons and day 3 you could move camp to Granite Basin or remain to explore the amazing area with day hikes. Wildflowers galore and you can’t beat the high country and the subalpine meadows. This is a less travelled area so take advantage of a quieter time in nature away from the crowds.

Atop the Tetons: Rendezvous Mountain, Grand Teton National Park, and the Jedediah Smith Wilderness
Trip length: 4 days/3nights
Rating: easy to moderate
This trip starts with a tram ride to 10,400 feet at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. We'll leave the crowds behind as we cross through Grand Teton Park to Moose Creek Canyon to set up camp. On day two, we'll climb a 9,000 ft. pass to a glorious alpine meadow for our next camp. On day three, we'll summit a 10,000 ft. peak, then return to camp to relax that afternoon. On day four, we'll enjoy the morning at camp with a tasty breakfast before returning to a different trailhead.

The Southern Tetons: Fall Foliage and Scenic Splendor
Trip length: 3 days/2nights
Rating: moderate to strenuous
Mid-September is the ideal time to explore the mountains in their last display of color before winter snows blanket them in white. We'll travel through aspen trees, cottonwoods, and mountain maples all ripe to bloom with the traditional colors of the fall season. This trip can be from a base camp or progressive.
