The first day of Spring- March 20, 2013! In Jackson, it is snowing which is typical weather in March. It is a bit harder to see signs of spring when living in the mountains. Tulips, daffodils, and lilacs are a long ways off. Even so, changes are occurring. Bears have been seen for about a week so bear spray is needed when touring. Birds are migrating back to the valley. Red-winged Blackbirds, Great Blue Herons, and Osprey have been seen. Great Horned Owls are calling in the morning as they reestablish nesting sites. Increase light continues this cycle so changes occur daily. Enjoy this time and the continued support of the natural world.
