Nature’s glory and chance to be with wolves

June 21, 2013

June has been an amazing month. The blossoms hang heavy on the plants so meadows are bright with color and diversity. Arrowleaf Balsamroot shines on the hillsides giving everything a hue of bright yellow. With the solstice, days are long and many people are in Jackson Hole enjoying the parks, being outdoors, and experiencing nature's beauty. Spring in Jackson Hole

May 18, 2013

Daffodils and tulips have just started to bloom throughout town.  Young spring wildflowers blanket the hillsides in southern parts of the valley. Aspen leaves have just matured and the valley is a vibrant green. Snow still dominates in the north and … [Read more...] about Spring in Jackson Hole

The town has a restful feel.  It's the ideal month to drive into Grand Teton Park. Grizzles are moving and two sows with cubs frequent Oxbow Bend.  I watched a cub dig for pocket gophers. Amazing how present animals … [Read more...] about April in Grand Teton Park- grizzlies, pelicans, swans, elk and much more

Spring is here!

March 20, 2013

The first day of Spring- March 20, 2013!  In Jackson, it is snowing which is typical weather in March. It is a bit harder to see signs of spring when living in the mountains. Tulips, daffodils, and lilacs are a long ways off. Even so, changes are occurring. Bears have been seen for about a week so bear spray is needed when touring. Birds are migrating back … [Read more...] about Spring is here!
