Trek to Macchu Picchu- a sacred journey

November 18, 2013

The mountains call to me. My heart soars when I trek in the high country connected to earth and sky.  Having the opportunity to interpret and guide tours in Jackson, Wyoming fulfills my life and The Hole Hiking Experience became a reality 25 years ago. During our slower times of the year, I leave this beautiful valley to follow my inner call to the … [Read more...] about Trek to Macchu Picchu- a sacred journey

Change is in the air.  It's mating season for most of the larger animals to ensure the young are born in the spring. The bull elk bugle to attract females and establish territories. Berries hang heavy on the bushes and feed the bears, moose and many birds.  Squirrels are seen cashing nuts and feasting on mushrooms.  Aspens quake with yellow leaves and snow … [Read more...] about Fall settles in Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Earlier this … [Read more...] about Nature’s glory and chance to be with wolves

Daffodils and tulips have just started to bloom throughout town.  Young spring wildflowers blanket the hillsides in southern parts of the valley. Aspen leaves have just matured and the valley is a vibrant green. Snow still dominates in the north and … [Read more...] about Spring in Jackson Hole

April in Grand Teton Park- grizzlies, pelicans, swans, elk and much more

April 24, 2013

April is considered off season in Jackson Hole. Locals journey to sunny spots. Restaurants offer discounts. Hotels close for spring cleaning. The town has a restful feel.  It's the ideal month to drive into Grand Teton Park. Grizzles are moving and two sows with cubs frequent Oxbow Bend.  I watched a cub dig for pocket gophers. Amazing how present animals … [Read more...] about April in Grand Teton Park- grizzlies, pelicans, swans, elk and much more
