Each winter, pronghorn populations migrate in search of food resources to survive the snowy season. Along with being the fastest land animal in North America, pronghorn have the longest land migration in the continental United States. Herds in Wyoming travel from Grand Teton National Park to the Upper Green River Basin, which is more than a 150 mile journey.

Your best chance of seeing a bighorn sheep in the wild is winter!
During this season, sheep move to lower elevations for easier access to food. They prefer south facing slopes for more exposed vegetation. Make sure to give them space and NOT ALLOW them to lick your vehicle which can be very harmful to their health.
