Journey into the heart of winter on a Jackson Hole snowshoe tour with an educated naturalist guide.
Follow animal tracks in the snow, examine different aspects of winter ecology and enjoy the outstanding beauty of Jackson Hole as it’s blanketed in white. We offer a wide range of tour options in the Bridger-Teton and Targhee-Caribou National Forests and the Snake River Ranch near Teton Village.
Choose your trip based on what inspires you. Our naturalist guided snowshoe tours are catered to the interests and physical abilities of the group. We offer family friendly, aerobic/active, and nature-focused tour options. Our guides are trained Wilderness First Responders who love sharing their passion and knowledge for the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Tours include:
Educated and experienced naturalist guide, use of interpretive materials, binoculars, backpack or waist pack, snowshoe rental, transportation, souvenir water bottle, water, and trail snacks (or lunch for longer tours).
Please bring:
Guests should dress as they would to go skiing with warm layered clothing and a waterproof outer layer. A winter hat, gloves, neck gaiter, warm socks, and warm, waterproof boots are required. Boots and clothing can be rented locally. Please inquire. Sunglasses, sunscreen, a cap with a brim, and a phone/camera are encouraged.
Snowshoe Sampler (2.5 Hours)

Join us to discover snowshoeing and learn about winter ecology in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. This customized private tour is the perfect choice for an introduction to snowshoeing in the winter wonderland of Jackson Hole. We’ll head to the trailhead by vehicle, then explore the natural environment on snowshoes.

Trip length: 6 hours
Tours depart at 9:00 a.m.
This private tour is ideal for those with more time to explore and discover the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem! Our Trekker snowshoe tour starts with wildlife viewing then offers more time on the snow to get deeper into the backcountry. Please note there is a 72-hour advance notice required for lunch orders.
